Hairy Ears, Hairy Pinnae (pin-nay) or...
Hypertrichosis pinnae auris (Hi-per Trick-o-sis Pin-nay Are-is)

General: Let's break doen this name. First, hypertrichosis means too much hair. The pinnae is the curvy, outside part of the ear, and auris refers to the ear specifically. So, this is a disorder where the outside, curvy part of the ear grows hair on it. It is not dangerous or destructive in any way, and though it may muffle the sound a little bit, there is no damage at all.

Chromosomal cause: This is one of the few disorders on the Y chromosome. Because of this, only males can get it. You can't say it's dominang (because there is no recessiveness), but if a father has this, he will pass it on to all his sons.

Characteristics: Completely normal, except for the hairs growing right on the outsides of their ears. This ould be pretty normal if the person were a dog or cat, but it's a person. This syndrome wouldn't have even been mentioned except it's rare and it's on the Y chromosome.
