RELATED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2008-Current
Instructional design assistant at the Faculty Assistance Center for Teaching (FACT) office at Utah State University. Converted disc-based courses to all-Internet, built dozens of courses for faculty members, worked with and modified the template for course construction at Utah State, and helped professors create courses that were both easily managed and interesting to students. Duties also included video editing, designing graphics, retrofitting courses and work with other instructional design professionals.
2007-2008
Lab assistant in bioinformatics lab at Utah State University. Some experience using scripts to harvest genetic information from databases, designing sequences for restriction enzymes and information processing. Use of PowerPoint and Internet tools required.
2001-2007
Classroom instruction at Midvale Middle School in the Canyons District (formerly Jordan School District) in Midvale Utah. Served as Department Chair of Accelerated Learning Program for Students in final year. Instruction included integrated science with instruction in chemistry, physics, genetics, ecology, geology, biology, cladistics, and other science factors. Research required.
