Learning The Organization System
You will need to learn the levels of classification. The largest of these is the kingdom and smallest is the species. There are some tricks to learning these in order.

One of these ways is with a mnemonic (new-mon-ic) device. This is a trick to learn stuff. Take the first letter of each level of classification and you haveThen, all you have to do is make words that are easy to remember with each of these letters and turn it into an easy sentence, For example, KPCOFGS may stand for "kings play chess of fine-grained sand," or it could stand for "kiss pink cats on fat grandma's shawl." My personal favorite is "kids playing chess on freeways get squished." It doesn't matter which you use, just as long as you remember the order.

Once you have the order memorized, you can use the letters down below to practice memorizing the details. Just move the mouse over the letters to reveal what they stand for. Once you know what each of the letters stand for, you need to view several classifications so you know how they compare. Be sure to observe the classification of several animals, plants, or other organisms.
